Behind Us, Together is a dance work by Jake Nehrbass that explores the questions we carry about solitude, connection, and what it truly means to be in relationship with one another. The piece investigates the tension between standing alone and moving together, asking how closeness is built, maintained, or quietly lost over time. Created for Crash Dance Productions’ Pre-Professional company, the work reflects on togetherness not as a fixed state, but as something continually negotiated through presence, trust, and shared movement. Behind Us, Together was presented as part of Units and Measures and premiered at the Southern Theater
